Sports Board Punjab (SBP) and Punjab Football Association (PFA) will jointly organize the first Under-15 Punjab Open Football Championship in the third week of July in Lahore. This is for the first time that SBP and PFA are collaborating for promotion of football in the province, a spokesman of SBP, said.
In the event, the inter-district, inter-divisional competitions will be held. The talented players will be selected from the championship to represent Punjab in the national games, he said. The event will help promote football at grass roots level. The players from all 36 districts of Punjab will be given equal chance to feature in this championship, the spokesman added.
