Samsung might replicate Google to create low-light photography mode
After Google and Huawei launched night mode feature in their smartphones for good picture quality in dark, Samsung too might take the same route by introducing its own night mode feature.
In a recently discovered code in the latest Android Pie for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9, it was discovered that the firm might be in works of a new night photography mode called ‘Bright Night’ for its smartphones, reported XDA-Developers.
As per the code, the feature will let the user ‘take bright pictures even in very dark conditions’ without using flash. This is similar to the functionality that was previously seen in Google’s Night Sight mode and Huawei’s Night Mode.
The code also suggests that the new Bright Night will works in similar ways as the previous Night Sight mode found in Google’s Pixel 3; it will take multiple shots and make use of software to combine the pictures together to create a better image without even the use of flash.
As per speculations, the new mode is most likely to debut in Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S10 that is expected to be announced by the end of February 2019, reported The Verge.
