A high-profile meeting was convened at SU Vice Chancellor's office to review overall state of affairs at all 6 additional campuses of the varsity. The meeting was presided over by VC SU Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat. At the outset, each pro vice chancellor and focal person of each of the campuses, in the order of campus seniority, made an exhaustive multi-media presentation focusing on campus establishment history, background, locale, land availability, infrastructure, departments/institutes, academic programs offered, facilities, teaching and support staff, transport, classroom and other accommodation amenities, libraries, laboratories, stock of books, number of computers, sports, finance, recreation and a number of other such aspects.
VC SU Dr Burfat in his remarks in the meeting expressed satisfaction over tremendous ground SU campuses had covered in the said domains from the day of their respective inception. Dr Burfat further observed that minor obstacles could never impede progress of those institutions whose Heads' hearts were aflame with positive spirit and a burning desire to serve masses.
SU QEC Director Dr Shahzad Ali Memon briefed participants on the growing pressing need of getting their professional academic programs accredited by their respective national professional councils to add industry weightage and market stamps to their degrees. The meeting also unanimously agreed for 3 remaining SU campuses to accelerate and intensify efforts to win higher education commission recognition to improve quality and budgetary prospects. It may be pointed out that 3 SU campuses i.e. Lear Campus Badin, SU Mirpurkhas Campus and SMBB SU Campus Dadu already enjoy this recognition.
