Bosnia on Wednesday accused the European Union of changing its mind and refusing to fund a migrant centre in the Balkan country because it would be too close to the bloc's southern border. As a key section of the migrant route into Western Europe, Bosnia decided to set up a reception centre in Velika Kladusa, in the country's northwest, near the border with EU member Croatia.
Earlier this month, the European Commission agreed to provide Bosnia with 1.5 million euros ($1.7 million) to help the impoverished country cope with the arriving migrants, most of them seeking to reach the EU.
