On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,566. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR2.125billion and the number of lots traded was 3,403. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 721.387 million, followed by gold PKR 572.137 million, WTI crude oil PKR 302.273 million, NSDQ100 PKR 173.837 million, silver PKR 113.161 million, platinum PKR 92.895 million, DJ PKR 59.316 million, SP500 PKR 42.191 million, copper PKR 20.673 million, natural gas PKR 17.412 million and Brent crude oil PKR 10.530 million.
In agriculture 4 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 22.211 million were traded.
