Head of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) Standing Committee on KWSB, Umer Rehan, urged Karachi Water and Sewerage Board to resolve all issues of Korangi Industrial Area related to water and sewerage on war footing.
He made this demand, speaking at a meeting with KWSB officials. He said that since monsoon rains are well expected, there is an urgent need to take required measures to face any unexpected situation. He said shortage in water supply is drastically effecting industrial production.
Chairman and CEO of KATI DMC, Zubair Chhaya, said that though cleaning of rain nullahs has begun, more have to be done. He said water shortage badly affects industrial production that stokes severe issues to national economy. KWSB officials assured KATI to resolve all reported issues on immediate basis.
