Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has said if elected, PTI will bring prosperity and make Pakistan self-sufficient to serve the people in a better way.
Talking to the media at Karachi airport on his arrival, he said today the nation has witnessed what happened in Lahore as first monsoon rain has make Lahore city Venice. "Citizens of Lahore suffered billions of rupees losses as rain water has entered in houses and city's infrastructure was severely damaged due to poor planning of Shahbaz Sharif government," he added.
Khan reached Karachi on Tuesday for two days visit for election campaign of PTI. On his arrival Imran Ismail, Arif Alvi, Firdos Shamim Naqvi, Khurram Sher Zaman, Shahzad Qureshi and other welcomed the party chairman.
Imran said deficit of Lahore orange line and metro bus will be spending billions of rupees annually and will be paid by the poor masses. Khan said water crisis is looming in the country and Pakistan will be converted into a desert, if timely steps will not be taken.
He urged the people to support and vote PTI on 25 July to make a new Pakistan which will be self-sufficient and will stand on its own feet, will prosper and where government will serve its people in a better manner. He said quality health, education and food are state's responsibility, unfortunately, in our country these basic necessities have become business and out of reach of the public.
Criticizing the previous government, PTI chairman said during the last ten years PPP has done nothing for Sindh. While, PTI in KP has performed well and served the people. "For a better environment, we have planted some one billion trees in KP", he added. People should reject those who have been taking turns for the last 30 years in Karachi city and vote PTI for a better future, he urged.
He said Nawaz Sharif "could not answer" two questions and the Sharif family owns London flats; everyone knew it from the start. Imran said if elected, he will root out corruption by strengthening institutions, will bring investment from abroad and will provide better job opportunities for young people.
He also promised changes in the agriculture and education sectors and wide-ranging reforms to introduce a culture of paying tax. During the visit of Karachi, PTI chairman inaugurated an orphan house in Memon Goth and visited several constituencies.
