Data Acquisition Portal: User's access rights verification once in a quarter: SBP
For verification of authentic user accounts on Data Acquisition Portal (DAP), the State Bank of Pakistan has decided that user's access rights verification will be conducted at least once in a quarter. All scheduled banks/DFIs/MFIs were advised to deactivate all unwanted accounts and verify the access rights of all users on Data Acquisition Portal used for reporting data to the State Bank of Pakistan.
Now, in order to authenticate the authorized users and their access rights periodically on DAP, it has now been decided that this process of user's access rights verification should be conducted by all Reporting Institutions (RIs) on a continuous basis, at least once in a quarter, SBP said in a circular issued Thursday.
Further, it has been observed that there are multiple administrative user accounts of RIs on DAP. Whereas, it is recommended to have an admin user with a suitable backup as many admin users may result in breach of system and data security. Therefore, RIs have been advised to review their admin users and rationalize the same to limit the number of such users to a maximum of three (03).
According to the central bank, compliance of these instructions may be verified during onsite inspection by the SBP.
