Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal has urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice of removal of banners and posters of Mian Muhammad Aslam who is the MMA candidate for National Assembly constituencies NA-53 and NA-54, Islamabad. Talking to journalists here on Friday, Mian Muhammad Aslam said that his election campaign related banners and posters are not only being removed from sectors G-10 and G-11 but district management officials and police personnel of specific mindset have also torched the banners. He said that it has become difficult to run an election campaign in the presence of such officials; therefore, the ECP must take notice of the situation and provide level playing field to all the parties.
He said that invisible forces are targeting MMA candidates for the sake of the success of "darlings." If this state of affairs prevails then the five religious political parties' alliance will inform the nation about its next strategy, he added.
