President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif along with some other party leaders met with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain Muhammad Safdar (retd) at Adiala Jail on Thursday.
The PML-N leaders including Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Tariq Fatemi, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Muhammad Zubair, Khurram Dastgir, Saira Afzal Tarar, Chaudhary Tanvir, Pervaiz Rashid, Daniyal Aziz, Javed Latif, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed and Baligh-ur-Rehman called on their imprisoned leaders.
Shahbaz met his elder brother before attending an All-Parties Conference (APC) of all the opposition parties against the alleged rigging in general election. He discussed the political situation emerging out after the general election and inquired about Nawaz Sharif's health.
The PML-N leaders later talking to media persons said that Sharif has directed them to continue protests against rigging and exert maximum pressure.
This is the third meeting of Shahbaz with Nawaz after he was sent to jail. Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir on July 6 sentenced Sharif for 10 years, Maryam Nawaz for seven years and Captain Muhammad Safdar (retd) for one year in prison in Avenfield reference.
