On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,452. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.673 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,455. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.298 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.703 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 786.694 million, platinum PKR 258.729 million, silver PKR 224.893 million, NSDQ100 PKR 208.991 million, Brent crude oil PKR 72.370 million, natural gas PKR 48.342 million, DJ PKR 41.307 million, SP500 PKR 20.597 million and copper PKR 9.574 million.
In agriculture 4 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 2.146 million were traded.
