The profit after tax of Kot Addu Power Company (KAPCO) has increased to Rs 10.617 billion in the year ended June 30, 2018 (FY18) as compared to Rs 9.447 billion earned in the corresponding period in FY2017. The company's earning per share increased to Rs 12.06 in the period under review against Rs 10.73 in the same period a year back.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Wednesday at Lahore recommended a final cash dividend for the year at Rs 4.80 per share i.e. 48 percent. This is in addition to interim dividend already paid at Rs 4.35 per share i.e. 43.50 percent.
According to the financial results sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 91.915 billion in FY18 against Rs 81.846 billion in FY17. The cost of sales increased to Rs 78.536 billion against Rs 67.666 billion.
The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 15.807 billion in FY18 against Rs 14.073 billion earned in FY17.
