On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,471. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 9.390 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,991.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 3.238 billion, followed by gold PKR 3.057 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.040 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 943.005 million, silver PKR 274.699 million, platinum PKR 248.141 million, copper PKR 186.095 million, DJ PKR 182.922 million, SP500 PKR 169.225 million, Brent crude oil PKR 25.218 million and natural gas PKR 23.658 million. In agriculture 32 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 15.596 million were traded.
