Benchmark northwest European gasoline refining margins were broadly steady on Friday after regaining some ground lost earlier in the week. No Ebob barges traded in the MOC window this week. The market gears up for winter grades. Argus window to include summer and winter grades Monday to Thursday, Platts to switch for winter grade only from Monday.
Naphtha leaving the region in late September and early October: Clearlake booked for 80,000 tonnes to leave west Russian port of Ust. Luga for Japan, Braschem for 60,000 tonnes to leave the Algerian port of Skikda for Brazil, Litasco for 60,000 to leave the Black Sea Port of Novorossiysk for Japan or Brazil, according to shipping data. European naphtha output was 1.022 million barrel per day in August, up 4.4 percent from July and up 3.2 percent compared with a year ago, the data showed. ARA gasoline stocks were slightly up in the week to Thursday at 870,000 tonnes, Dutch consultancy PJK International said. US weekly gasoline stocks were down 1.72 million barrels at 234.15 million barrels, with demand up 2 percent from a year ago to 9.7 million barrels per day, according to EIA data.
