ICE Canadian canola futures edged higher on Friday, supported by Canadian harvest delays and higher soyaoil prices. Snowy weather in Alberta underpinned prices, and farmers have been slow to sell harvested crop, a trader said. Canola harvest in the Canadian province was 14 percent complete as of Tuesday. November canola added 60 cents at $489.70 per tonne.
The November-January canola spread traded 2,743 times. The Chicago November soyabeans last traded slightly lower on big US crop expectations and technical selling.
