Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakhat has said that the Punjab government will ensure timely completion of the Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) and no project will be dumped due to political differences. He expressed these views while talking to Planning and Development Chairman Habibur-Rehman Gilani and OMLT CEO Sabtaiin Fazale-Haleem on Tuesday. He further said the metro bus service and Orange Line Train will be made self-reliant.
According to him, contractor will do their work under 'awam nawaz policy' instead of 'Nawaz policy'. Contracts will be given to local contractors instead of relatives so that local business flourishes.
Moreover, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government's Green Pakistan project will play an important role in facing challenges. "The industrialists are bound to utilize modern machinery for preparation of raw material and removal of garbage," he added.
