Tunisia's state grains agency has issued an international tender to purchase 50,000 tonnes of durum wheat, 75,000 tonnes of soft wheat and 50,000 tonnes of feed barley, European traders said on Tuesday. The tender closes on Oct. 3 they said. The office initially asked for offers for 67,000 tonnes of wheat but then increased this to 75,000 tonnes.
The grains can be sourced from optional origins. Shipment was sought in a range of possibilities according to origins supplied. The durum was sought in two 25,000 tonne consignments for shipment between Dec. 25 and Jan. 25, 2019, depending on origin.
The soft wheat was sought in three consignments of 25,000 tonnes for shipment between Oct. 25 and Dec. 5, depending on origin, they said. The barley is sought in two 25,000 tonne consignments for shipment between Oct. 25 and Nov. 25, also depending on origin.
