On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,543. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 5.517 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,763.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 1.516 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.452 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.071 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 697.131 million, silver PKR 292.956 million, platinum PKR 157.809 million, DJ PKR 102.737 million, natural gas PKR 75.900 million, SP500 PKR 63.015 million, copper PKR 59.635 million) and Brent crude oil PKR 27.077 million. In agriculture 23 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 19.553 million were traded.
