Under the directions of Punjab government, safety injections to 1168300 children from age six months to seven years will be administered during the 13 days anti-measles campaign starting from October 15 and all necessary arrangements in this regard have been finalized in Faisalabad district.
This was disclosed during a meeting of anti-measles campaign held on Wednesday under chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Syed Ahmad Fawad. ADCG Mushtaq Hussain, ADC HQ Qaiser Rind, Ac City Dr Anam, CEO District Health Authority, Dr Mushtaq Sipra, DHO Dr Asif Shahzad, District Coordinator Dr Bilal and other concerned officers were present in the meeting. Addressing the meeting, the DC directed the officers to fully implement the micro plan for saving the children from this fatal disease.
He further said that the parents should be motivated to get their children injected against measles disease. He urged the parents to cooperate with the health department and allow the health teams to inoculate their children. The DC further directed that daily report about the vaccination during this measles campaign be sent to his office.
