The federal government has appointed a retired secretary Haseeb Athar as chairman Federal Public Service Commission. Athar has been appointed for a period of two years. In another development, another grade-21 officer of Administrative Group Muhammad Ajmal Khan has been posted in the Punjab. An earlier order had asked him to report to the Establishment Division, which has been cancelled. Similarly, a grade-20 officer Manzoor Khaqan has been appointed as joint secretary Inter-Provincial Coordination Division. Muntazir Najim Ali, a grade-20 officer, has been transferred to Sindh.
