Karachi Bar Association (KBA) on Monday announced to observe strike against the removal of Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui as judge of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday (today).
According to the announcement of the KBA, lawyers will not appear in the lower judiciary as mark of protest against removal of Justice Siddiqui from IHC.
Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui was removed as IHC judge on the orders of Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), which initiated the proceedings him for alleging an intelligence agency for its interference in judicial matters at a public forum.
