SHC issues notices to DG Rangers, IGP, Sindh govt

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday issued notices to Sindh Government, Director General (DG) of Rangers, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh on a plea pertaining to disappearance of a citizen, Abdul Raheem.

The court while hearing the plea filed by Abdul Hanan, brother of Raheem, directed the respondents and departments concerned to submit their replies regarding the disappearance till 22ns January.

Usman Farooq, counsel of the petitioner told the court that Raheem was detained by law enforcement agencies on the night of 20th December 2018 from his home.

He said that Raheem is a peaceful citizen and he is not involved in any criminal activity. ‘’ None of any state institution is providing the information about Raheem,’’ he said.
