Non-compliance of act: DGTO cancels licences of several trade bodies, CCIs

The Directorate General of Trade Origination, Ministry of Commerce has published the names of those trade bodies and chambers of commerce whose licenses have been cancelled due to non compliance of the Trade Act 2013. These bodies thus will not be entitled to vote under section 7 of the Act in the election f the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) scheduled on December 28, in Karachi
Licences of following associations have been cancelled from the office of DGTO; Scrap Importers Association, All Pakistan Land Route Custom Agent Association, Plastic Scrap Association of Pakistan, All Pakistan Copper Importer Exporter Association, All Pakistan Gem Merchants and Jewellers Association, Gas Heater Importer Association of Pakistan, Pakistan Transport Association, Ghee Exporter Association of Pakistan, All Pakistan Glass Manufacturers Importer Exporter Association, All Pakistan Cigarette Manufacturers Association, All Pakistan Tractor Dealers Association, Pakistan Computer Association, Pakistan Steel Linepipe Industry Association and Pakistan Ship Breakers' Association.
Licenses of chamber of commerce, Musa Khail Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Qilla Saifullah CCI, Charsadda CCI, Nagar CCI also stand cancelled on account of non-compliance Trade Organization Act 2013. Interestingly in the case of women chambers of commerce, licenses of almost all new women chambers have been cancelled due to violation of trade act, that include Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nowshera, WCCI Charsadda, WCCI Rawalpindi, Swat WCCI and Attock WCCI.
Licenses of small organisations like Association of small Hajj organizers of Pakistan and Association of Small Tour & Travel Agents of Pakistan have also been cancelled. DGTO office have published the list of those trade associations whose licenses had been expired that include All Pakistan Furniture Exporters Association, All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA), Engineering Components & Machinery Manufacturing Association of Pakistan, Pakistan Animal Natural Sausage Casings Association, Pakistan Chemists & Druggists Association United Producers Association and Hyderabad CCI.
