The city life remained paralyzed on the 3rd consecutive day as the protests against the Supreme Court's verdict acquitting Aasia Bibi in a blasphemy case, continued at various parts of the metropolis on Friday. The educational institutions, commercial markets, shopping malls, petrol pumps, roads, et cetera, etc., remained closed leaving Karachiites in quandary.
The protesters from Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST) continued their sit-in protests at almost 20 locations, including Numaish Chowrangi, Star Gate, Orangi No-5, Saeedabad, Baldia-4, Hub River Road, Jinnah Bridge, Bara Board, Mauripur, Teen Talwar, Tower, Ranchore Lane, Ram Swami Shoe Market, Sohrab Goth, Liaquatabad No-10, New Karachi, 4-K stop, Nagan Chowrangi, Nazimabad and Sakhi Hassan roundabout, Korangi Bilal Chowrangi, Qayyumabad, Furniture Market, Landhi 89, and Korangi Dhai Number till filing of this report.
