July-October seafood export declines to $67.156 million

Pakistan's seafood export slumped to $67.156 million in July-Oct 2018-19, low by 11.31 percent, official figures say. Fall in seafood export now stands at $ 8.567 million in July-Oct 2018-19 from $ 75.723 million in July-Oct 2017-18, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics shows.
In term of volume, the country exported 28,185 metric tons of seafood in July-Oct 2018-19, low by 5 percent or 1359 metric tons, from 29,544 metric tons in July-Oct 2017-18. In Oct 2018, the country's seafood export declined to $37.620 million from $40.160 million in Oct 2017, showing a fall of 6.32 percent or $2.54 million. Seafood export quantity, however remained stagnant with just 0.29 percent rise to $ 14.884 million in Oct 2018 from $ 14.841 million in Oct 2017.
