General Secretary Pakistan Tehreek Insaf Sindh chapter MPA Haleem Adil Shaikh has said that the PTI would soon start campaign of "Save Sindh, Eliminate Corruption" in order to ensure corruption free Sindh.
Addressing a press conference here at Hyderabad Press Club on Monday, he said all provincial government departments are in grip of corruption therefore the provincial chapter of the party has decided to make these departments free from this menace by launching campaign. A walk in this regard will also be taken out soon, he added.
He said that PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has started conducting last public meetings as he realized that he will soon be shifted from Bilawal House to Adiala Jail. He got power as a result of the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and whatever corruption he committed during the period is not hidden from the eyes of the people, MPA Haleem Adil Shaikh said.
He said that death of children in Tharparkar and suicides of people are due to poverty and hunger in various parts of the province are being reported during the PPP tenure as Asif Ali Zardari had snatched all from the hands of common people. The party founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had raised slogan of "Roti, Kapra aur Makan" for all, but during the current tenure of the PPP, the people of the province have been deprived of their basic needs, he added.
The PPP is not any more the party of Bhuttos but it is the group of corrupt persons like Asif Ali Zardari, Anwar Majeed and Ayaan Ali, he said and added that days of these corrupt persons have been counted and now they are accountable of their corruption.
He said that those who were asking the hundred days performance of PTI government, first inform what they did for the province. The provincial local government minister should inform when the people of Karachi would get their share of water and getting rid of garbage, he said.
MPA Haleem Adil Shaikh said that the PTI remained stood for the rights of the people of Sindh and will launch the accountability campaign so that who usurped the rights and plundered the national exchequer could be made accountable.
Among others, PTI leaders Khawand Bux Jahejo, Mehfooz Ursani and Jamshaid Ali sheikh were also present on the occasion.
