A man on Saturday climbed to the top of a mobile tower located in the heart of capital city with a national flag and demanded to handpick him as prime minister of the country. Police said that the man belonging to Sargodha climbed up a cell phone tower in Blue Area. Police and rescue officials reached the scene soon after getting information to rescue him.
The man demanded that he will only climb down if the authorities promised him to make him prime minister or arrange his telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Imran Khan. Police have provided cell phone to the man and assured him arrangement of telephone call for him with Prime Minister.
Police said that when the man refused to come down despite negotiations and assurances from police, authorities asked mimicry artist Shafaat Ali to talk to him in Imran Khan's voice. As the man talked to Shafaat Ali for about five minutes thinking he is talking to the Prime Minister, he came down.
