To go beyond zero environmental impact and achieve a net positive impact, Toyota globally has set itself six challenges. All these challenges, whether in climate change or resource and water recycling are beset with difficulties. However, Toyota is committed to steady initiatives in order to realize sustainable development together with society. As part of this commitment, Toyota has initiated the Green Wave of tree plantations across the globe. IMC has also taken the initiative of planting 1 million trees in Pakistan by 2021 to reduce its carbon footprint.
IMC has initiated a 5S Clean Karachi campaign across 20 locations in Karachi collaborating with the local residents of their neighborhoods. These locations include schools, sports institutes, parks, beaches and even the National Stadium of Karachi after the Pakistan vs West Indies T20 series.
The objective behind these drives is to share the Toyota 5S philosophy, which is a set of 5 basic rules and principles that help an individual keep their space clean and organized. The concept is to bring the people of Karachi together to foster a sense of civic responsibility, ownership and unity and to share a Toyota philosophy that benefits everybody.
