Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentary group leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh and MPA Khurram Sher Zaman blamed Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah for huge financial corruption and demanded he must resign immediately.
PTI also announced to file references against Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Faryal Talpur. They predicted that Asif Zardari would be disqualified soon. At the joint press conference which they addressed in the premises of the Sindh Assembly, they also hurled accusations at Asif Hyder Shah, Ali Hassan Zardari and other figures for alleged corruption.
"We will get resignation from the white collar thief Murad Shah. A large number of the PPP MPAs are in contacts with us but we disbelieve in illegal and unconstitutional means," said Sheikh, who is also the PTI Sindh chapter general secretary. He threatened that they would surround the Sindh Assembly in protest if Murad shah did not resign.
He said PTI-led opposition would also table a no-confidence motion against him. He said PPP's corrupt people are not Ali Baba and 40 thieves but they are 172 thieves. He said these people have got sympathy votes to form government in the name of Benazir Bhutto.
Haleem Adil cited that when JIT report of Nawaz Sharif was made public, the PPP leaders had demanded his resignation. He said Bilawal cannot hide himself behind an innocence face because he was adult when corruption began. He demanded freezing and seizure of the accounts and assets of Bilawal, Asif Zardari, Faryal Talpur and Murad Shah. He also demanded forensic audit of the accounts of Sindh Bank.
"Billions of rupees were obtained as loans from the Sindh Bank and this money is still with Murad Shah who also did corruption in Dadu and Thatta sugar mills," PTI leader alleged, adding that the thief Shah was a big enemy of Sindh. He further alleged that Murad generously benefited Omni, Bahria and Anwar Majeed at the cost of taxpayers' money.
"Anwar Majeed started with two companies and reached 83 companies," he exclaimed. Sheikh slammed PPP chairman Bilawal and the party's Sindh government calling them a gang of Yazid for Sindh. Citing the election symbol of PPP, Haleem Adil, ridiculed PPP, saying that for 10 years the poor masses were killed with arrows because of which people of Sindh are now against the PPP. He demanded the corrupt people should not be allowed to leave the country and after naming them in ECL, their accounts should be sealed.
PTI leader Khurram Sher Zaman said the JIT report has exposed PPP leaders' corruption. He accused them looting trillions of rupees from the government kitty. He alleged Sindh government always turned a blind eye to said scams. He said they had tabled a motion on Sindh Bank scam. He said in future the PTI would form a government in Sindh. He said they would not tolerate Sindh government anymore. He said the sister of Imran Khan, Aleema Khan, has deposited fine in her case and she does not hold any government office.
He said Asif Zardari would murder his opponents. Not a single political party is with this corruption mafia, he said, adding that they were in contact with other opposition parties and trying to win their confidence. He said people of PPP are also onboard.
He said references would be filed against Bilawal and Faryal. He said the people who have evidences against the corrupt rulers of Sindh should contact us. He said in the larger interest of Sindh, the province and its government could not be left on mercy of these people for five years. MPA Dr Saeed Afridi, Ramzan Ghanchi, Kareem Bux Gabol, Arsalan Taj, Adeel Ahmed, Shabbir Qureshi and Ali Aziz were also present.-PR
