The Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Sardar Saifullah Dogar has said that all resources would be mobilized to strengthen the industrial sector and to ensure sustainable growth in exports. Faisalabad, being biggest textile hub of the country, is playing a vital role in uplift of country's economy.
Addressing a meeting at Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) on Tuesday, he said that textile industry, in fact is the bread winner for the country and the Government is trying its level best to facilitate the textile sector. Assuring his utmost support to the industrial sectors, he said that all the issues will be addressed on priority basis. Textile is the iconic identification of Faisalabad as this city is predominantly a textile hub contributing 55% share in country's textile exports.
He assured fast track up-gradation of road infrastructure in all industrial areas of the city to facilitate the textile exporters. He stressed the need to promote effective relationship between the Government institutions and business community as they could yield much better results in collaboration with each other. Appreciating the philanthropic work of the business community of Faisalabad, he said that the city belongs to the inhabitants and they must contribute their role for the overall betterment and uplift of the city in accordance with their own vision.
Earlier in his welcome address, Chairman Pakistan Textile Exporters Association Khurram Mukhtar said that textile exporters will extend full support for the uplift and development of the city. Appreciating Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar for making strenuous efforts to put Faisalabad on road to progress and prosperity, he said that various mega projects have been launched to provide all and basic amenities of life including health, education, roads and potable water etc.
Appreciating the Government on taking an exemplary initiative for the down-and-out segments of society under PANAH GAH project, he termed it as a giant step towards transforming Pakistan into a welfare state in line with principles of Islam. He said that textile exporters stand ready to implement the Premier's vision of making Pakistan a humane society according to the ideology of our founders. Owing to their social responsibility, he offered full support in building of shelter home in Faisalabad under Panah Gah Project.
Pointing out the deteriorated situation of roads in industrial sectors, he said that road infrastructure is the prime source of transportation for export consignments especially in Industrial areas as it plays an important role in shifting of export cargos. He stressed for immediate up-gradation of Khurrianwala-Jarranwala Road, carpeting of Bypass Road in front of Faisalabad Garment City, Patch work of Sadaqat Chowk to Express way road and revamping of Ramzanabad-Jhumra Road.
