In a bid to check the trend of use of Sheesha smoking and crystal ice, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Seemabi Tahir has tabled a bill titled "The Punjab Prohibition of Sheesha Smoking and Crystal Ice Bill 2019"in the provincial assembly of the Punjab.
The objective of the bill is to control the new trend of drug addiction through Sheesha smoking and crystal ice, which is increasing across the province. Crystal Ice which is short for crystal methamphetamine is a big threat to our new generation; Seemabi Tahir said this while talking to media, here today. Consultant, Anti Drugs/Narcotics Campaign Syed Zulfiqar Hussain was also present on the occasion.
Seemabi Tahir maintained that they are thankful to Syed Zulfiqar Hussain in the preparation of this bill. "Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to eradicate the menace of drug addiction," she said, adding: "The proposed bill is essential to check the sale of drugs posing a threat to our young generation." She further said that it is our collective responsibility to eradicate the menace of drugs from society.
