One-dish in weddings: Action against violation continues

The Lahore district administration continued with its crackdown against violators of one-dish rule and exceeding the permitted timing for weddings. On the direction of District Commissioner Saleha Saeed, the administration took action against two wedding functions at Riawind Road and Bahria Town. On both occasions, the functions violated the one-dish and timing rules and hence they confiscated the food and filed complaint for registration of cases against the violators.
Meanwhile, the administration continued with its anti-encroachment drive in Allama Iqbal Town. During the operation at Monsoora Bazar, the anti-encroachment teams confiscated the stocks displayed outside the shops. At Makkah Colony, ramps, sheds and illegal extensions were dismantled. On the operation against encroachments, the DC said that it will continue and zero tolerance will be shown to any kind of encroachments.
