On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,625. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.262billion and the number of lots traded 16,990. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 5.427 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.892 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.643billion, currencies through COTS PKR 810.806 million, DJ PKR 212.183 million, silver PKR 94.599 million, platinum PKR 69.450 million, copper PKR 34.860 million, SP500 PKR 33.378 million, natural gas PKR 26.467 million and Brent crude oil PKR 16.646 million. In agriculture commodities 18,855 lots of red chilli valued PKR5.185 million and 15 lots of cotton valued PKR 7.580 million were traded.
