The opposition in Punjab Assembly on Friday protested against the PTI government for not removing the names of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah from Exit Control List (ECL) despite the orders of Supreme Court.
Speaking on the floor of the House, PPP parliamentary leader Syed Hassan Murtaza said PPP was not afraid of going to jails. He said that PPP is not against the accountability but it should be across the board. PPP always accepted the court decisions whether it is the decision of judicial murder of former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto or the decision of disqualification of former prime ministers Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and Raja Pervez Ashraf.
The PPP also staged a token walk out for not removing the names of Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Syed Murad Ali Shah from ECL.
Speaking on the occasion, PML-N leader Samiullah Khan said if the word Bhutto or Shraif was attached with Aleema Khan then she would be behind the bars. He alleged that PTI government's policy of political victimization is weakening the federation. He said government is raising hue and cry after the pursuing of helicopter case against Prime Minister Imran Khan by National Accountability Bureau.
While responding to the allegations of opposition, Punjab Minister for Housing Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed said PML-N and PPP are two faces of the same coin. The two parties had formed an alliance to protect each other from corruption. He said in new Pakistan there is only one card which is Pakistan card.
Earlier, Provincial Minster Raja Basharat made a committee on the issue of private schools' fees.
