Sindh Private Education department on Friday directed the administration of private schools to issue only monthly fee challan instead of demanding quarterly/bimonthly fees from the students.
It is also directed that fee for the months of summer vacations should be collected/ charged in the months of summer vacations (month wise) only.
According to the circular issued by Sindh government which says, "It has come to the notice of the undersigned that various privately managed institutions/schools are issuing quarterly or bimonthly etc. fee challan to the students studying in their schools, which is clear violation of "The Sindh Private Educational Institutions (Regulation & Control) Ordinance 2001, Amendment Act-2003 and Rules-2005".
"As per order of the Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan, dated: 13-12-2018, the schools which have received fees during the last summer vacations are directed to adjust or refund half of such fees within two months from the date of the Order i.e.13-12-2018," the notification reads.
The authority has warned that if any school is found in violation of aforesaid directives would be dealt under rules leading to suspension/cancellation of registration of school.
