ANP president Asfandyar Wali Khan has said they are the guardians of 18th Constitutional Amendment and warned of strong reaction against alteration of its any clause. Addressing a function organised in connections with the death anniversaries of Bacha Khan and Abdul Wali Khan, he also warned against the snatching of the provinces' rights and echo of the presidential system.
Those present on the occasion were included ANP senior vice president Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, general secretary Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Aimal Wali Khan and other central and provincial leaders of the party. The Cultural Attache of Afghan Embassy Hazrat Ali Hotak was the guest of honour.
In his address, the ANP chief highlighted the lives of Bacha Khan and Wali Khan, and paid rich tributes to them for their sacrifices during the struggle of independence.
Speaking regarding the overall political situation, he warned that the operators of the country are moving towards a direction, which will bring grave results. He said that due to wrong and flopped policies has become isolated at international level. He called for learning lesson from the history and framing of policies while keeping in view the fate of Russia.
Asfandyar Wali Khan said the rulers will pay heavy price for hatching conspiracy to abolish of the financial clauses of 18th Constitutional Amendment. He warned that in case of any such steps ANP will take streets and he himself will stage that protest.
Regarding tribal districts, he said despite the abolition of the black law of Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR), new system in the area could not be introduced, which has rendered tribesmen confuse. He said Waziristan is unsafe even today and the facing those who had forcibly taken away a father and son in violation of the sanctity of the house are not hidden from anyone. He demanded the kidnapped father and son with immediate effect.
He termed the handing over of the tribal affairs instead of provincial government to Governor tantamount to freezing of the system. The ANP chief said before the general elections, the PTI chief Imran Khan was beating the drum of the construction of 50 million houses while the destructed thousands of houses in Waziristan were not visible to him. He said that instead of non-seriousness, the government constructed the destroyed properties of tribesmen to guarantee their honourable repatriation.
The delimitations made for provincial assembly constituencies in tribal districts were also comes under scathing criticism from him and said that the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) has made one provincial constituency without considering the ground realities that begins from Peshawar and ends at D.I. Khan.
He said that till giving first-class status to tribesmen, the achievement of the objectives is impossible. The ANP chief said speaking nothing more than accountability and questioned that who had certificated this liar as trustworthy. He said that chairman NAB has become the puppet of the government and called for taking action against Aleema Khan, the sister of Premier Imran who had made assets to the tone of billions of rupees from her sewing machine for presenting before the joint investigation team (JIT).
He said the sister of a person who was demanding money trail from Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz was set free after only imposing of penalty. Asfandyar Wali Khan also made a jip over the prime minister for not honouring his commitment of replying questions in the parliament.
