To express solidarity with people of Kashmir, different political and religious parties, trade unions, employees' federation, freedom movement for Kashmiris took out rallies and walks and organised seminars and special gatherings here on Tuesday.
Activists of Al-Badr Mujahideen held a rally from Chamkani morr to Peshawar Press Club, led by their Peshawar Zone ameer Jaffar Tyar. The participants were holding placards and banner inscribed with slogans in favour of Kashmir movement for right to self-determination and against Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
They had raised full-throated voices against the vague role of UN and Islamic world over continuously violence by Indian forces on innocent Kashmiris.
Speakers urged the international community to resolve the Kashmir issue.
Jaffar Tyar said that no one can suppress the struggle of Kashmiris in attainment of right to self-determination. He urged the government and world leadership to take aggressive stance to resolve the issue of Kashmir.
A rally was also staged by workers of Tehreek-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir Peshawar division outside Peshawar Press Club. The rally was led by the Tehreek central leader Tahir Tayyab Bhuttavi, provincial leader and Mili Muslim League district convener Samiullah, threek ulema wing president Sheikh Arifullah, along with local leaders of different political parties.
Samiullah while speaking on the occasion stated that India must stop using firearms and pellet guns against innocent people and withdraw draconian "black laws".
A rally was held under auspices of the Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya (TNFJ) provincial council Khyber Pakhtunkhwa outside Peshawar Press Club. The rally was spearheaded by the TNFJ leader Agha Abbas Ali Kayani along with dozen of the activists of the Tehreek.
To express solidarity with people of Kashmir, the demonstration was also organized by Pakistan Railways Workers Union Peshawar division on main sher suri road in front of Peshawar Press Club. The protest was led by workers union divisional president Ishfaq, zonal president Jahangir Mohmand, and Zonal General Secretary Farhad along with scores of the Pakistan Railways employees.
Similarly, the activists of All Jammu and Kashmir Welfare Society Peshawar took out a rally from Milad Chowk, which converged in big procession at historic Chowk Yadgar Peshawar. Local leaders of the society led the rally.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Thinkers Forum in collaboration with Directorate of Culture, KP government organized a seminar in Nishtar Hall Peshawar, to express solidarity with people of Kashmir.
