That Business Recorder op-ed writer Farooq Hassan is endowed with the keen perception and cleverly apt expression of those connections between ideas that awaken amusement and pleasure is a fact. He in his latest contribution to this newspaper speaks about fake degrees and fake news. According to him, "fake degrees should not be such a big issue. After all, I too have a fake degree. It says so on my C.V. I have an MBA degree (GPA 3.9) from the University of Chichawatni, Punjab. The fact that Chichawatni has no university is beside the point. Even the senior most official of Chichawatni district, the Deputy Commissioner, is not aware what an MBA degree is all about." No doubt, his is a sardonic comment on our state of affairs; he has the ability to use words in a clever and humorous way or relate seemingly disparate things in a humorous way. Keep it up Farooq.
