The Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah had said that there was still a margin of improvement in education department as in the past priorities were not set for education. He said that for the improvement of education system a road map had been prepared and new education policy would be implemented from July this year.
He was talking to media men during visiting Science Exhibition organised for students of different government schools at Sindh Museum Hyderabad today. Shah said that soon teachers would be recruited and contract Head Masters would be regularised. He said non functional and unnecessary schools would be got closed. He said that in the cities teachers were more than requirement while in rural areas schools and college were facing shortage of teachers and added that teachers would be posted in their native districts. He said that from July science exhibition would regularly be organized in schools.
Earlier the Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah today had paid surprise visits to different colleges and schools. During the visit to Qasimabad Boys Degree College he expressed his displeasure over teachers who left the college early before their duty time is over and said that departmental action would be taken against them.
Shah during visit also took notice of students' attendance in low number in degree classes and asked the college administration to take measures to improve students' attendance.
