On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3676. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.427 billion and the number of lots traded 4,726. Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.077 billion followed by gold amounting to PKR 1.054 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 763.574 million, platinum PKR 142.899 million, NSDQ100 PKR 130.385 million, silver PKR 112.917 million, DJ PKR 46.693 million, copper PKR 33.023 million, natural gas PKR 24.107 million, Palladium PKR 19.874 million, Brent crude oil PKR 13.443 million and SP500 PKR 8.743 million. In agriculture commodities 50,875 lots of red chilli valued at PKR 13.380 million were traded.
