Religious parties including Milli Yakjehti Council, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan Awami Tehreek and others have strongly condemned cross border violation by Indian Air Force planes and called upon the Government to raise this issue at diplomatic level and give a befitting reply to the aggressor.
The combination of key religious parties held a meeting at Mansoora here on Tuesday which was attended by senior leaders Dr Abdul Khalid Muhammad Zubair, Liaqat Baloch, Dr. Saqib Akbar and Allama Arif Hussain Wahedi and Maqsood Ahmad. The meeting discussed Indian war hysteria, threats of surgical strikes, situation in Kashmir, and ban on Jamatul Dawa.
In a joint statement, MYC said that India's intentions show that it wants to destroy the entire region. Indian PM Modi's anti Pakistan campaign is destroying peace of the region. We want to make it clear that if India commits aggression against Pakistan then every Pakistani will stand up with its army and fight for protection of the country.
It said that the presence of seven hundred thousand Indian soldiers has turned the whole of valley into a military camp. More than ten thousand fresh army personnel have been sent in the occupied territory to commit untold miseries and violation of human rights. Thousands of people have lost their lives and eye sights due to Indian firing in occupied Kashmir. Mothers are raising dead bodies of young sons every day.
The meeting called on the UN, EU, OIC and other international organizations to take notice of human rights deficit in occupied Kashmir and give the birth right of self-determination right to Kashmiris. They demanded lifting of ban on Jamatul Dawa.
Assuring the Pakistani armed forces of all support against any aggression, the leaders of the Milli Yakjehti Council termed the Pulwama incident as a drama staged by India to intensify provocation on the borders.
In his statement, Secretary General Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said violation of borders by Indian Air force is an act of aggression, which is condemnable.
He said Pakistan must use friendly countries to convene emergency session of Security Council, and tell the world that India is trying to impose war on Pakistan. He said violation of border is a serious act which cannot be ignored. International community must take notice of this serious situation. PAT secretary General welcomed the calling of joint parliament sessions by the government regarding air space violations issue.
