Initial report of collision of metro buses near Gaju Matta has been presented to the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday.
As per the report presented by Punjab Mass Transit Authority, the collision occurred on Monday (February 25) at 9:50am between Yuhanabad and Dalukhurd metro stations. The metro bus No.M-60 coming from Shahdara towards Gaju Matta was running out of its lane which resulted in the accident. However, further investigation is underway and a case has been registered in Police Station Nishtar Colony.
On the directions of the Chief Minister, Punjab Transport Department has constituted a six-member inquiry committee headed by Secretary Punjab Provincial Transport Authority to investigate the matter.
City Traffic Officer Lahore, Manager (Operations) PMA, Secretary District Regional Transport Authority Lahore, Senior Motor Vehicles Examiner Lahore and the representative of Punjab Emergency Services will be the members of the said committee which will submit its report after conducting the complete inquiry of the accident within three days.
