That India seeks to cripple Pakistan economically is a fact. Narendra Modi's approach to Pakistan ahead of India's general elections strongly suggests that the only way for him to brighten his dim electoral prospects is through the uncalled-for brinkmanship. Although India's economy is much bigger than Pakistan's, New Delhi will never succeed. Finance Minister Asad Umar has made it clear that Pakistan's economy is strong enough to defend the country as all economic indicators have shown positive signs during tensions with India. According to him, despite tensions in relations with India, the country's economic indicators remained positive.
