The first consignment included 27,910 tonnes of US dark northern spring wheat of 14.5 percent protein content bought at $254.13 a tonne FOB US Pacific Northwest coast, traders said. It also included 19,665 tonnes of hard red winter wheat of 12.5 percent protein content bought at $244.88 a tonne FOB and 7,425 tonnes of western white wheat with 9 percent protein bought at $222.30 a tonne FOB.
The first consignment is for shipment between May 10-24 and has an additional freight charge of $28.48 a tonne for ocean shipping from the US Pacific Northwest coast to Taiwan. The second consignment included 28,015 tonnes of US dark northern spring wheat of 14.5 percent protein content, also bought at $254.13 a tonne FOB US Pacific Northwest coast, traders said.
