On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,754. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 11.038 billion and the number of lots traded 15,271. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 4.176 billion followed by gold PKR 2.495 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.526 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.343 billion, DJ PKR 593.141 million, platinum PKR 300.214 million, palladium PKR 172.472 million, silver PKR 164.140 million, natural gas PKR 118.808 million, SP500 PKR 109.619 million, copper PKR 17.281 million, Brent crude oil PKR 11.635 million and Japan Equity PKR 8.905 million.
In agriculture commodities 14 lots of cotton valued at PKR 7.478 million were traded.
