Criticising Prime Minister Imran Khan and his ministers for inviting Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to stage a sit-in, PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that the government cannot even afford assembling of five people.
Talking to media persons outside the Accountability Court on Monday, Kaira said that the government has deployed 500 police personnel for five people and also sealed the route, while the Prime Minister and the government representatives are saying, "You should come to Islamabad and stage a sit-in."
He said if they (government) cannot manage even five people then how they will manage gathering of hundreds and thousands of people. He maintained that the ruling party's rhetoric on corruption is only to divert attention from its incompetence and the poor performance as well as common man's cries over the prevailing economic situation.
Meanwhile, strict security arrangements were made around the court before the arrival of Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur who came to appear before the court. A number of supporters gathered outside the court and clashed with the police.
