Chief Coordinator Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) Ijaz A. Khokhar has urged upon the government to chalk out next five years plan to bring boom in exports and stabling national economy. Government should formulate short term and long term policies for getting economic benefits he said. The exporter community he said was ready to play its instrumental role in enhancing the export volume which the ultimate goal of the government.
Talking to Business Recorder on Tuesday he said that government should take effective steps exploring non-conventional international markets for bring big boost in export volume of the country. At this juncture there was a great need of launching aggressive marketing plan for enhancing the export volume of the country he suggested. The Coordinator further stated that it is high time that government to take effective steps for making the value-added textile industry as competitive and vibrant in global market.
He said that exploring of non-conventional international markets is direly needed for bringing big boost in export volume of the country and the present circumstance there was a great need of launching aggressive marketing plan to boost exports of the country. He said that exporter community was ready play its instrumental role in enhancing the export volume which the ultimate goal of the government.
The PRGMEA Coordinator disclosed that Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is organizing very important Textile Exhibition (TEXPO) on April 11-14 at EXPO Centre Lahore. A large number of foreign delegations from Middle East, Far East, China, Africa and Europe will attend the exhibition adding that over 250 domestic delegations will also attend the exhibition and showcase "Made UP" he added.
Ijaz said that exhibitors will showcase products like knitwear, Ready made garments, Sportswear and accessories etc. Ijaz said that the exhibition will provide an opportunity to domestic businessmen to develop not only B2B links bout also help in establishing joint ventures with their foreign counterparts.
The B2B links will enable the domestic and international businessmen to develop direct links as well as provide an opportunity to understand each other's business viewpoints he added. The TEXPO will help in reflecting soft image of Pakistan and erase the trend of negative travel advisory and enabling the foreign buyers to visit Pakistan for their business deals freely.
