On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,876. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.381 billion and the number of lots traded 5,558. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 1.136 billion followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.024 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 829.091 million, gold PKR 661.151 million, platinum PKR 305.904 million, DJ PKR 218.514 million, silver PKR 161.757 million, SP500 PKR 17.162 million, copper PKR 11.662 million, Brent crude oil PKR 8.693 million and natural gas PKR 6.906 million. In agriculture commodities 40 lots of cotton valued at PKR 47.138 million were traded.
