The governor Punjab has formally approved the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority by signing bill approved by Punjab Assembly. Governor Punjab Ch Mohammad Sarwar will be patron-in-chief of authority. Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority has been established to provide clean drinking water to people of Punjab. According to details, the Governor has signed the bill sent by Punjab Assembly for establishment of Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority. Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority will provide clean drinking water to 110 Million people of Punjab.
Authority will install water filtration plants across Punjab and water filtration plants will also be installed in Jails, hospitals, and universities.
Governor Punjab Ch Mohammad Sarwar has said that Authority will provide clean drinking water to people of Punjab. Eighty percent people are deprived of clean drinking water and 11 lacs people in the Punjab annually die due to drinking contaminated drinking water. Present government will relieve people of problem of contaminated drinking water. In Lahore only, 2 lac people visit Children Hospital due to water-borne diseases. In hospitals, 50 percent people are admitted due to water-borne diseases. Governor Punjab Mohammad Sarwar said that we would provide clean drinking water to people of Punjab.
