The Directorate General of Customs IPR (Enforcement) protects genuine trademarks, copyrights, designs and patents in imports and exports. It functions as a single-stop for international and national right-holders to seek remedies against the infringement of their rights and illicit competition. Ever since its establishment two years ago, the Directorate General has seized over 3.5 million counterfeit imported products valuing over Rs 90 million. As a result, right-holders from US, Europe, Far East and Asia are working directly with IPR Enforcement Directorate General of Pakistan Customs on their trade-mark-related infringement issues.
The Directorate General is committed to interdicting fakes and counterfeits in imports and exports and fulfilling Pakistan's international IPR commitments.
